Anyone who has experienced the world of looking for work or finding that next gig has experienced rejection. The worst part about this can be not receiving any feedback or getting ghosted. This is poor form, shocking etiquette and something that creative or digital experts like yourself DO NOT deserve.
What you deserve is good, honest feedback, without the wish wash and beating around the bus. Anyone that know Artisan Recruitment well knows that we have a solid flow of jobs coming and going, and an even more amazing flow of candidates. When we try to find the right match, we also know that rejecting some of the best talent comes with this.
From where we stand, there are really only four core reasons you would've been rejected from a job, and here they are:
1. You know, timing is everything!
Sometimes these things just come down to a matter of timing! If there have been a lot of applications, the client is spoiled for choice, and we're no longer able to pass on any new applications.
2. Experience
Sometimes the experience detailed in an application just doesn't meet the requirements of the job description. OR on the other side of the coin, you may have too much experience.
3. You're just starting out?
When you're just starting out, the experience factor can be tricky. You might be asking yourself, “Well, if I don't have any, then how can I get some?" You can try interning, or volunteering. Some internships are paid roles too, you never know your luck!
4. Overseas application
We love your applications if you’re coming to live in and work in Australia – but without a relevant working visa and right to work, there is unfortunately very little we can do to help you.
